Episode 2: Downtime in Kanazawa
Mayumi was swamped with work since she was named as an executive officer this year. She has been involved with several projects and worked with a variety of teams of HR, finance and investor relations. It was fun to work there. She is a hard worker down to the bone.
On Friday night in winter, she realized that she needs a break. Mayumi determined to take off from it altogether and headed to Kanazawa.
Kanazawa is a cozy old city in the Hokuriku area. Outside the snow falls. There’s a legendary sushi chef, Yasuke. She always sits in the usual counter seat and order a piece of sushi. It is her blissful moment!
On the way back to Tokyo, she bought the Eki-Ben, or station bento at the Kanazawa station.
