TOYAMAKAN

The Antenna Shop "TOYAMAKAN"

The Antenna Shop "Toyamakan" opened in June 2016 in Nihonbashi, just in front of the Mitsukoshi Department Store.  Toyama Prefecture is located in the Hokuriku Region, surrounded by mountains and faced to the Sea of Japan.

The 46 prefectures have their own retail outlets in Tokyo.  They are called "Antenna Shops" and sell regional goods and products in central Tokyo.  These shops are popular among Tokyo citizens because we can get a variety of regional goods without going around the country.  Most of them are located in Ginza, Yurakucho and Nihonbashi area.

Each antenna shop has a unique feature, and this Toyama shop is very sophisticated.  It provides "Lifestyle" information featuring Toyama food, culture, tradition and art crafts.  They said that many products in Toyama are influenced by it's proximity to the sea.

You can have a light meal with local Sake at the restaurant or the counter seat.  It's worth a visit to explore Japanese sophisticated culture in Nihonbashi!

There are many other antenna shops in Tokyo.  Regional governments are enthusiastic about promoting their local products.

Among them, "Hokkaido Dosanko Plaza" is popular  for fresh Hokkaido foods. It is conveniently located at "Kotsu Kaikan" in Yurakucho. (1st floor, Tokyo Kotsukaikan Building., 2-10-1 Yurakucho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).
