Jingu Gaien Ichou (Gingkyo) Festival
NOVEMBER 2018
When you visit Japan, I'd recommend to enjoy a tea ceremony
to experience Japanese culture.
There are a number of facilities that offer opportunities
for foreign visitors to experience tea ceremony
with Engish guidance.
For example,Chazen in Ginza, next to the Kabukiza-theatre.

November started with such a nice weather at 19℃ in Tokyo.
It's starting to get cooler recently.
November and December are my favorite months in a year.
From the middle of October, we hear a news of Hokkaido (the most north of Japan)
starting to have autumn leave season.
It will come down slowly to south-west and
Tokyo will have it about mid-November to early December.
Recently, a lot of tourists come to Japan to enjoy the changing colors of autumn leaves. They are breath taking beauty. Nikko (Tochigi Prefecture) or Kyoto are particularly famous for autumn leaves and really crowded with tourists. My favorite place to enjoy autumn leaves in Tokyo is Jingu Gaien.
Jingu Gaien is located close to the fashionable town, Omotesando (15min. walk) and is famous for ginkgo.
146 trees of ginkgo are planted on both sides of the 300meter street from the Aoyama street to the Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery and the street is called “the Golden street” and the view from the Aoyama street is amazing.
The "Gingkyo Festival" is held at Jingu Gaien every year and there are many local food stands. You can enjoy yellow colored ginkgo and local food at the same time. It is a good choice to visit Jingu Gaien to experience Japanese autumn.
