~ Hyatt Centric Ginza
The signature restaurant & bar of the boutique Hyatt Centric Ginza,
NAMIKI 667 opened in January, 2018. It offers guests a modern and comfortable space. There is terrace seating overlooking Namiki-dori. This must be a nice and comfortable place to sit in the summer.
My first course was Hours d'oeuvres made up of pate de campagne with carrot salad, consomme jelly and espelette chilli pepper. It was awesome.
Next came daily seasonal soup of the day which was mushroom soup with kidney beans. It was smooth and delicious.
For main course there was a choice of fish meuniere or roast chicken. I chose the sea bass meuniere “Grenobloise” flavored with lemon, capers, croutons and brown butter foam. It was fantastic! GenerallyI prefer fish which is simply grilled or broiled in Japanese style with soy sauce. But I really enjoyed the “Grenobloise” which had a taste like that of grilled fish, with a lemon flavor.
My husbandopted for a chicken. He enjoyed it very much.
Finally, our dessert course was valrhona “caraibe” chocolate tart with granola, vanilla ice cream topped with Tokyo Izu-Oshima salt.
I was pleasantly surprised however, when theny served us a visually stunning birthday dessert and coffee.
It was the perfect spot for our birthday dinner.
