Soba Noodle, Ryan

Stylish Soba Noodle Dining, RYAN

“RYAN” features house made buckwheat noodle and stylish Japanese dining in Shibuya.  This is a spot we wanted to check out since its opening last year. The glass-walled shop is along the street and you can see the stylish and sophisticated decor from outside.  It may draw attention from passersby.

At the counter table, we ordered “OAK” course (JPY3, 500. -).  There were two choices, “Cider” or “OAK” course, or full course “MITAKE”.  “OAK” course includes Assorted Sashimi (sliced raw fish – tuna, sea bream, sea basses), Appetizer plate (5 kinds of dishes),  Fish & Boiled Radish Dish cooked with Miso sauce, Soba (there are several choices, and I ordered Oroshi Soba), and cake& coffee.

The sashimi was really fresh and tasty. Appetizers consisting of 5 dishes – rape blossom and dried young sardine dressed with soy sauce, fried potatoes, konjak dressed with miso paste, Shimeji mushroom dish & chicken dish) put on Japanese dish were delicious.  You can tell the quality of Soba by looking at it.  It is rather thin and looks like a home-made Soba.

Other Japanese dishes and Sake are available for lunch and dinner.  Conveniently located on the 1st floor of KewPie Building near Aoyama-dori. This is highly recommended!
